The film starts with a quill tumbling to the feet of Forrest Gump who is sitting at a bus station in Savannah, Georgia. Forrest gets the quill and places it in the book Curious George, then, at that point, recounts the tale of his life to a lady situated close to him. The audience members at the bus station change consistently all through his portrayal, each showing an alternate demeanor going from incredulity and lack of interest to riveted love.
On his first day of school, he meets a young lady named Jenny, whose life is continued in corresponding to Forrest's on occasion. Whenever he is brought together with Jenny, Forrest finds she has a youthful child, of whom Forrest is the dad. Jenny tells Forrest she is experiencing an infection (presumably HIV, however this is rarely conclusively expressed). Together the three move back to Greenbow, Alabama. Jenny and Forrest at long last wed. The wedding is gone to by Lt. Dan, who currently has prosthetic legs and a fiancee. Jenny kicks the bucket soon a while later.
The film closes with father and child sitting tight for the school transport on little Forrest's first day of school. Opening the book his child is taking to school, the white plume from the start of the film supposedly falls from inside the pages. As the transport pulls away, the white plume is gotten on a breeze and floats upward.
